Amazing cards would always show up, from small dealers to collectors, their was always something cool in the room. I bought my first Goudey Ruth at the show for 200.00 from a collector/dealer. I sold the card at the end of the show to a Dealer from Ca for 1800.00, what a profit. The show was held at the George Washington Hotel, which is really a dump, but the vintage cards always roll in. I wish I was there.
later brian

Posted By: jay behrens
Willow Grove was the first major show I ever attended. this was back in 1982. I used to hang out at hang out at Ron Oser's store all the time and he was kind enough to let work behind his table. It was amazing to walk around and see t-cards for as far as the eye could see. Saw my first Wagner there along numerous other legendary cards. I remember one dealer having a complete set of T3s and T9s for sale along with many dupes and more OJs in one place than any other time in my life.

Cards I bought at that show included a smoking 1933 Canadian Goudey Durocher, 1934 Dizzy Dean and a EX+ near set 47 or 50 T201s that included that Daugherty/Lord and Cobb/Crawford for $250. I am sure I walked away with a bunch of 1955 Topps siince I was working on taht set at the time.

Definately a great show.

Jay

Posted By: Bob Lamb
I was at the show today and as I do not collect cards of the vintage discussed on this board, there were more OJ's , T-cards and E-cards than I have seen in some time. One dealer had about 100 OJ's all graded by GAI. Sports Cards Plus had a nice run of E cards. would have been a good day for most here.

BOB
