Posted By: Fred C
Let me be the first to tear your head off for outing this auction!

Don't you just love to see the following in the item description:

I FOUND THIS CARD IN AN ESTATE THAT I BOUGHT OUT LAST YEAR AND WAS THRILLED TO HAVE FOUND THIS PACKED AWAY!

That sentence usually just jumps out and bites you. It says caveat emptor all over it.

Wow, the seller changed the auction a little bit. It used to be a $500 starting bid and now it's just over a hundred bucks.

Doesn't that imply that you're selling this as authentic? If I purchase it and send it to a grading service and it comes back as a reprint, will you refund the purchase price? Thanks.
Posted By: Jeff Lichtman
Well, at least he includes that he's not certain if the card is real. Of course, if it were real it's a 20K card and not the $99 he's offering it for. But of course he didn't get it graded because of the exorbitant $10 fee from PSA.

Posted By: Adam
There are 1 or 2 eBay handles I remember someone on the Board saying they had (something like: ibuyFakeCards and some other one I cannot remember).

Am I the only one that would find it absolutely hillarious for 2 of these type of "buyers" to get into a huge bidding war over that guy's Cobb card. That would be great. Get the bidding to around $10k for the Cobb card and the Ruth card (which, from what I understand from what the seller is saying, may be real).
