Posted By: leon
That's a very cool card......

These came in glassine envelopes with a coupon also. There are 4 different colors. I am still searching for a green one. Green is the more scarce color but, like many series, these are so scarce I would only put a little more value on a green one....regards

Posted By: Brad Green

The image used on Lefty's Uncle Jack's Candy card was also used on Lefty's 1933 Butter Cream and 1933 Eclipse Import cards. That same picture appeared in one of the 1930's Baseball Magazines.

Including my Grove Uncle Jack's card, I have only seen three Grove cards for sale in the last ten years. I believe one of the other cards was orange (although I'm not sure).
Posted By: Mike Campbell
That Foxx picture sure was used alot of times, in various cards. Anyone know roughly how many times it was used. I went into my office and just by chance there are two examples sitting there. The 554 and the other escapes me. And....I also lost the website showing all known cards of hall of famers. Can anyone tell me what it is. I use it as a guide. My goal is to acquire all possible foxx cards. I am over half way there. Including many variations. Thanks in advance for any help. The Uncle Jacks Foxx is one that has eluded me. I would give almost anything to get one.

Posted By: Mike Campbell
Like myself, many top vintage collectors fly under the radar. The card from the set you are seeking, is not in my day to day cross hairs. But I will let a few collectors I know around the country, know I am looking for one. My wife will tell you, when I am looking for something, no rock goes unturned. I become obsessive. Part of the collecting malady I suppose. I will contact some of them this morning. The West coast folks are still in bed, so it may be a while. I will let you know what I come up with. I don't believe I have ever seen a D355. I used to be into that realm, but now concentrate on other things. talk to you soon. By the way, did you see my mugshot in Old Cardboard ? rather humerous.
