Mantle / Mays postcard
Posted By: Bryan Long
I am not sure if this is the best place to post this or not, but I happen to get a postcard from my brother (who bought it at an estate sale for me) which has a young Mantle and Mays on the front. The back says it is from the gift shop within the stadium. Do these types of postcards hold any value? It is the orginal plastic if that means anything. I know a scan will help, and I will get one posted tonight if possible.

.

Mantle / Mays postcard

A tough, early Mays/Mantle postcard can have decent value, in part because many card collectors will consider it a quasi baseball card. Those team issues pictures were sold at the stadium and can have decent, if not great, value. Yours would appear to be a team/stadium issue postcard. All other qualities even (rarity, year, etc), I would think a stadium postcard might be worth more than a stadium picture print.

I'm unfamiliar with your particular postcard, so I have no knowledge of its rarity or year of issue.
