National Watch List

Might still be early for this, but we’ve had one the last seven or eight years, so thought I might go ahead and start.

And for me, the same as every year ... any T206s with a rubber stamp on the back from Howe McCormick, 500 W. Main Street, Gainesville, Fla. With the very recent move (actually completing this weekend) probably won’t be able to buy at this time, but would at least like to know if any that could be added to the data base.

You can contact me at ed@edmccollum.com if you see any and if the price is right I might be able to sneak a couple in the budget.

I’m at number 351 in the collection now, one should arrive tomorrow and I know of another 51 out there that I’ve seen images of. Would just like to know what else might be out there.

Good luck to all in their hunt.

Any and all baseball currency as seen below. I won't be attending, but if you see one, please message me!!! And in the unlikely event you see a W600 Cobb add 5k to the price for yourself and send me the total!

oldjudge 07-10-2019 03:10 PM

My guess is that if there is a W600 Cobb (highly unlikely) it will be on an auction company table. Good luck though.

And if Ed can't afford them yet, I'll cover some purchases and make sure they get back to Ed.

Bicem 07-10-2019 04:35 PM

Not a w600, but a Horner Cobb in the Heritage Platinum auction with the image used for the card.

2019 nscc

I'll be attending / working the National (2 days working/2 days shopping)

I'll be a guest appaiser for international sporting artifacts.

But also meeting with a few auction houses.

I'd be glad to offer my services in seeking out rare and unusual items. Hope to meet some of this groups members as well.

71buc 07-11-2019 06:52 AM

After 45 years of collecting I will be attending my first National. I will finally add signatures to my Thome, Ozzie, and Reggie game used items. I will also be hunting for a y unusual 1971 Bucs memorabilia. I would love a game used Al Oliver or Richie Hebner mustard and black hat.

bgar3 07-11-2019 07:29 AM

George Wright’s book for 1875 season

I would appreciate hearing about a copy of of a small booklet written by George Wright concerting the season of 1874 or 1875. I would try to reward information on an available copy.
I also wouldn’t mind hearing about other interesting George Wright items.
Thank you

Haha Ben you funny guy. Don't work harder, work smarter. Just hangout by the unloading dock on dealer set up day and help first time dealers set up their stuff. It will all be new and fresh to the market. Sometimes people set up to sell big collections and just want to do it themselves.

Promethius88 07-11-2019 10:33 AM

My main focus is to try and find any 1962 Jell-O cards that I don't have. Secondary focus will be on raw, nm or better 61 Topps to fill or upgrade my set. Also 62 Topps Uecker rookies and maybe some vintage unopened.

OldEnglishD 07-11-2019 10:40 AM

I'll be there Saturday looking for 1 card:

1966 Topps Bobby Orr RC, preferably PSA

I probably cannot afford anything higher than a 3.5

Leon 07-12-2019 08:42 AM

IF folks want to list their wants here we will sticky this thread to the top, along with the dealer table numbers thread, during the National. Good luck and hope everyone finds what they want to.

SMPEP 07-12-2019 09:17 AM

I won't be making it - but if anyone sees a W572 Barbare, Duncan or Wambsganss - get it and I'll make you an offer you can't refuse!

And if you happen to even SEE a W572 Barbare - PLEASE take a photo and send it to me! I'm not even sure the card exists.

Thanks!
Patrick

Still the one Im looking for as well, I know one dealer from Canada, that will probably be there and may have one. Otherwise hockey is kinda tough at the National (or at least it was the few times I went)
If you dont find one, I would suggest the big show in Toronto.

Golfcollector 08-01-2019 12:20 PM

I am too far down the list and likely not important enough, but any Sam Crawford in mid to lower grade. (M101-4 with any back variety other than blank back) Any Candy or Caramels cards of Sam other than Philadelphia Caramel and total longshot Crawford Wolverine News Postcard portrait version.

Heck just a contact to any of these things would be great!
