It is a good bunch, for sure, but hardly the entire set....I own ten different SF Giants minis (with white bases) and am still missing a few.

Is there a technical difference between a nodder, a bobble head or any other names for them

To my knowledge there's no difference at all, Jim. Antique dealers and collectors have always used the term 'nodders'. I believe the terms bobblehead, bobbing head, bobbin' head, etc. are more recent. All one and the same though.

"bobblehead" is an abomination I blame on the stadium giveaways and/or Alexander Global Promotions. :mad:

Most likely its a generic bobblehead with stickers added. That seller makes a ton of fantasy pieces.

Sorry to hi-jack, but who is the bobble expert? Not vintage, but wondering if it's a rare variation. I have a Derek Jeter legends of the diamond Forever bobble... I can find the one in pinstripes in an identical pose, but not the one I have in his away gray. Any help would be appreciated.

UPDATE: I finally found a pic of it online, it looks like it sold quite some time ago on eBay, but I can't seem to find the original listing.

Just joined Net54baseball. I have a collection of mostly Dodgers bobbleheads. I started to put them in a new display case. Also started to collect pennants. Bought my first few over the last couple of weeks.

The Giants had two weirdos made but are extremely difficult to find. I will try and post them later

I believe there were three. The middle one here is original...the two on either end are d**gers dolls, repainted by me (not all that well). I'm still looking for the real deals but have basically given up. A buddy of mine has originals of all three that came from reputable sources.

I recently purchased probably the Dodgers Bathing Beauty Weirdo in that is the rarest of them all, along with a few others. Yes, unfortunately some idiot is bidding up to the high bidders max and then retracting his high bid. Now the high bidder is telling me that he may retract all of his bids because he does not like what the other guy is doing - sigh.....

Are those yours? It did seem suspicious to me that there were so many bids so early. I always snipe and let the chips fall where they may.

Yes, I am keeping the very best one (Bathing Beauty) for myself, and selling these two. I want to let the auctions run their course but if it looks like this bidder keeps bidding and then retracting, I may have to end them early unfortunately.

I've been looking for this nodder for a while. Glad to pick one up.
