LOL, don't we all.

The real problem with these type of listings is that eBay/PayPal have their crazy return policies. If the new seller does not get their crazy price they just return the item and make the original seller refund them. It makes it so the person selling it now has no skin in the game and are guaranteed to either make $ or get their $ back. This way of selling is very common unfortunately.

gashouse34 09-25-2017 11:39 AM

maybe they will sell it quick enough that they can message the original seller with an updated address for their buyer like drop shipping:rolleyes:

ooo-ribay 09-25-2017 06:49 PM

Well, he's got at least 4 page views, at this point. :p

Shoeless Moe 09-26-2017 08:05 AM

I think all the page views has him excited, he raised the Buy it Now price from $350 to $650.

Now that is funny. It wasn't worth his original inflated price.....

Imagine how much it would be "worth" if we all put it in our "watch" list.

I did that yesterday.:D:D

Net54 is a market mover.

EYECOLLECTVINTAGE 09-26-2017 02:34 PM

I can't fathom doing business this way, but hey I might be in the minority.

You can redirect packages via the USPS website! :D

pherbener 09-26-2017 03:25 PM

I'm watching it now too. Up to 5 watchers!! He's gonna raise the price to $1000 soon with all this attention.:D

This thread was copied from the Memorabilia section to the front page. This guy is going to go crazy with all of the people looking. :) The sky is the limit on the price!!

Good "move" Leon. Guilty of also gawking - and grinning about it too.

h2oya311 09-26-2017 04:31 PM

I couldn't resist. I'm watching it now.

edjs 09-26-2017 05:06 PM

Me, too. Start asking questions like "Is this signed by Clarence Keels, or is it secretary signed?"

Stampsfan 09-26-2017 05:26 PM

OK I'm in too; Watcher #23. I couldn't resist.

Aren't you the guy who wanted to flip a used piece of gum into a '52 Topps Mantle?

(I might have a detail or two wrong on that statement... :p )

Mountaineer1999 09-26-2017 05:39 PM

The irony here would be someone seeing all the watchers and grabs it before its too late.

PiratesWS1979 09-26-2017 05:48 PM

I made 36!

chalupacollects 09-27-2017 05:51 AM

41 for me!

Rhotchkiss 09-27-2017 07:04 AM

I just made it 46.

But this does highlight something I thought a while regarding "watching" - I almost never buy items I am watching, but rather just watch them to see if they sell, when, and for how much (like a comp). Anyone else do this/feel this way? If so, # watchers means very little, other than maybe people are interest (for whatever personal reasons) to see if the seller gets his/her price.

Aquarian Sports Cards 09-27-2017 07:33 AM

Also, aren't both listings incorrect? They list it as a season pass, but it says right on it "Press" leading me to believe it is a press pass.

EYECOLLECTVINTAGE 09-27-2017 07:46 AM

I make 50

With an auction house, I only watch the items that I'm curious about but have no intention of bidding on them.

But with eBay I watch items on which I plan to make a snipe bid. But if the item is a BIN, I'm just watching to see if it sells. If I really wanted it I would just buy it outright.

Shoeless Moe 09-27-2017 09:11 AM

I find it odd he doesn't have "Best Offer" on there. He paid $80, yet he won't take $550 for it?

I have noticed this in the little selling I do now. More items sell with little or no watchers than items I have 10+ watchers.

I don't buy much on eBay anymore, when I do it is about half I am going to bid and half I just want to see if it sells/ending price.

Absolutely. I'm watching this pass too, but have zero interest in buying it. A majority of my watches are just curiosity. If I want something I'll either put in a bid, bin or snipe.

Sophiedog 09-27-2017 01:21 PM

I'm watching it too but have no interest. He's probably thinking he's got a million dollar item there
