This photo has Louis Requena stamped on the reverse, and is of Jim Turner (pitching coach of the Yankees 1949-1959) and a player I need help identifying.
Requena covered the Yankees (and Mets) for 50 years from what I can find. There is no date anywhere on the image. Does anyone recognize the player? Thanks for helping! |

Looks more like Doc Medich to me.
Turner was also Yankees pitching coach from 1966-1973. |
Good point. Medich's first year with the Yankees was 1972, so the time frame works.
Also Medich was 6'5"; Turner was 6'0" and in comparison the height looks more like Medich as Terry was 6'3". I'm leaning to Medich... |
