All I can say is TOUCHE'

Seller threw in 25 extra baseball cards after the auction, 1 being a Philadelphia Caramel Cobb!

WOW! what a serious score!

I am interested in the Indians and Skybirds if you are selling and while still attached to the pages.

thanks
dan

Is that a good buy, even with all the cards only grading a PSA 1??

danmckee 06-27-2010 03:37 PM

There is a lot nicer than PSA 1s in some of the skybirds but I thought I took a huge chance bidding $2K. But with the extra 25 baseball cards thrown in, the winner has hit paydirt in my opinion. There are chicle Football and a few OJ's as well. It was a decent book.

ahh, that lot is on its way to Dick Towle and the money will be rolling in. from a famous detective show in the 60's... "missed it by that much"

Great hit!! I am a proud loser I must admit. After you get them back, please think of me for the Indians and skybirds. May I ask, was I close to your max? She sent me some lame pictures that turned me off a bit. Thanks for answering the thread, Dan.

P.S. You could have saved some money, I would have soaked them off for free for you.

Scrapbook

Would you believe I once bought an old scrapbook and ended up with 6 Ty Cobb cards, 2 Drum backs and an Eddie Plank?

Would you believe 15 E-90's and a Sitting Bull??

How 'bout 3 torn up T206's and a lighthouse???

ullmandds 06-29-2010 02:41 PM

Dan - Someone named Phil won it. He posted on the non-sports board.

Dan it looks like the buyer did receive a few extra OJs but the Philadelphia Caramel Cobb you mentioned appears NOT to have been included. Did you get a scan of this card from the seller?
