Reach American League baseball
Hi everyone. I am posting here for the first time.
I recently found this old baseball in a thrift shop, and I think that I have figured it *what* it is. I just can’t figure out if it’s worth a darn. As you can see, there is very little ink left on it. You can see some of the Reach seal, and a tiny bit of the Ernest Barnard commissioner signature. I found a site saying this puts it about 1928 to 1931. Considering where I am in the world, it probably started life in a Sox or Yanks game. It’s not signed I don’t think. There’s a tiny bit of green ink above the commissioner’s signature, but nothing can be read on this ball. Apart from that, it is a very nice baseball! One little nick, which I have to assume came from impact at the ballpark. Any thoughts? Cost me only $3.50!
