Please Post Scans of Dick Newsome and Tommy Umphlett Cards...
If you have any cards (new or old) of Heber (Dick) Newsome and Tommy Umphlett, please post scans. I got an email from a relative of Newsome today and I'm sure that he and his wife would like to see what you have. Umphlett is from the same town as Newsome, so that is the connection between these two players.
Dick Newsome was a pitcher for the Red Sox from 1941 to 1943. Tommy Umphlett was an outfielder for the Red Sox in 1953 and the Senators in 1954 and 1955. On behalf of Newsome's relative.... Thanks! |
