For our purposes, Ted's a national treasure. For the purposes of all who know him, he's a wonderful guy. Hope all of this is behind him soon! Thanks for posting, Danny.

Well said, Mr. Thomas.

Ted adores his dear wife, Charlotte. He's a kind, softspoken, gentleman. He knows a right smart about old ball cards. And he's willing pass on his knowledge, insight, and thoughts on old cards to those with sense enough to listen. May he recover well, and his caregiver not be overwhelmed in the process.

I’ve known Ted for many years, we’ve done some fun deals together. He’s the best of the best.

Ted, get well soon, my friend.
Mike

I got the best back stamp I own from Ted many years ago in Philly. He held it for me until I was to meet up with him at the show. Made me a hell of a deal on it too. I use it as my avatar to show the type of back stamp I collect, but here is a slightly larger image of it as well.

He is a true gentleman and scholar. All the best to you Ted and a speedy recovery.

Andrew

Still have the T206 Mathewson I bought from Ted almost 30 years ago at a Red Bank Catholic card show when I first started getting into vintage! He was very helpful to me in those early years. A fountain of knowledge in the hobby. Feel better soon!

Love to you and Charlotte.

Missed Teddy the last few Philly shows. Knew he wasn't able to attend due to health problems.

Looking forward to seeing him at future shows so we can shoot the breeze about cards as we have been doing for years.

You'e been missed Ted!

I just asked Dan about you at the last Philly show - noticing that I hadn't seen you in a bit. So sorry to hear of your fall and bout with Covid. Glad the Covid is behind you - now get well soon and back to the show circuit so we can have meaningful card conversation again.

Pretty sure I expressed it to you in person, but thank you for the college course in T206 that you have so graciously shared here on the boards! It has been immensely helpful!

I talked with Ted this morning. He is hoping that he can return home sometime soon. He appreciates all of the well wishes. Above all, he is most impressed by the record he is setting. This is the longest thread in Net54 recent history that all of the posters are in agreement and on the same side:)... Dan & I will continue to check in with him regularly

Mark,

So delighted to hear this. A true step in the right direction. I wanted to reach out to Ted, through email, but wasn't sure if he was able to receive them. Hopefully Ted can come home before the end of the month.

Just a testament to the consistent positivity and goodwill Ted's always brought with him! A bunch of us curmudgeons take note! Glad he's in good spirits. Wouldn't have expected anything otherwise!
