T206 with RED Old Mill back
 

On ebay there is a T206 CY YOUNG GREEN PORTRAIT with a Old Mill back in Red. Is this real? I have never seen one. I know that the "monster" reprint set had crazy colors on the back.

Just so you know, Old Mill backs are either black or the extremely rare brown. Red back Old Mills are cheap reprints.

the Network 54 Vintage Card site is great for finding out about older issues. Also any older copy of Beckett's Price Guides would list the card backs, but not in the detail of factory numbers, series numbers, etc. Piedmonts are blue, Sweet Caps are red, Old Mills are brown (rare) or black, Uzit are light blue, American Beauty are green (in two shades) Broadleaf are brown, EPdG are red, Polar Bear are blue, Soveriegn are green, Ty Cobb, king of the smoking world, are green. Tolstoi is black, etc. the list goes on. Just check.

How often do you see an ebay seller respond so respectfully to someone who tells him his card is a fake? Usually one gets hit with every expletive in the English language. Kudos to him for doing the right thing the right way.
