Autographs - Personal Checks

I've got a "collection" of 2 personal checks, Roush and Carey. As much as I would like to have them framed with a photo of the player, I'm pretty sure my in-house decorator will frown upon hanging them. For now, I'm looking for a holder of some kind. Are screw-down or other holders available that can accomodate a personal sized check?

Carey Check Display

John here is a plastic photo display that works nice on a desk or any flat surface. I used this until a got the check matted and hung on the wall. I would like to see a scan of your Carey check if you could. D.

Nice solution... those angled lucite displays come in varying sizes, too.

They make screw-downs to fit checks, ticket stubs and other odd-sized items as well (if you decide to go that route...)

D,
Here is my Carey check. I like the fact that it is drawn on a Pgh. bank. Like yours, Oakland is even better since that is where Forbes Field was located. Where did you get the lucite holders?

I am retired and the wife likes to go to garage sales. I pick them up at garage sale for a dollar or less. Sorry I can't help with where they sale them. D.

You can usually pick them up at a dollar store (such as dollar tree).

Regarding the lucite holders, most of the Camera stores have them too.... in their frame dept. Ritz Camera, Cameras West, Fox Photo... all of those stores have 'em. So just check the Yellow Pages for wherever you live.

I have used Diploma/Certificate frames that can be picked up at Wal-Mart for about $15 bucks. They make almost anything look presentable.... Cards, Tickets, 3/5's, 45's. Plus they have a cool 3D effect. Be clever. Whenever I can't find a good way to display something I just go to Hobby Lobby and walk around. Something pops up.
