Snapolit1 03-09-2018 09:48 AM

Is capped at $100 just like ebay bucks, so nothing amazing on higher price items.

Peter_Spaeth 03-09-2018 10:18 AM

I don't see a redemption field?

savedfrommyspokes 03-09-2018 10:19 AM

I have never heard an ebay radio commercial before...until today. About every other commercial on today is from ebay mentioning this 20% off coupon. What is nice is this coupon works on multiple items too.

sterlingfox 03-09-2018 10:23 AM

I wonder if it can be used more than once?

Luke 03-09-2018 10:29 AM

Pretty cool. Looks like today is a good day to list and/or a buy a card priced at $500.

bobbyw8469 03-09-2018 10:33 AM

I got no such promotion.

Luke 03-09-2018 10:37 AM

The rules say it can only be used once. But it sounds like you can let items pile up in your cart and pay for all at once.

Leon 03-09-2018 10:38 AM

My dogs are happy!!

100 bones!! My dogs are happy!! All I did was use this code PSPRING20 at the end when checking out- It said there were some limitations but dog chews weren't one of them, apparently.

It's personal. :D

timn1 03-09-2018 10:38 AM

seems like the real deal

If you enter the coupon code posted above during the checkout process, it knocks off 20% at that point. I don't think you need an invitation this time.

Luke 03-09-2018 10:38 AM

It's just a coupon code. Everyone can use it I believe.

BruceinGa 03-09-2018 10:39 AM

I could use it only once. :(
I wonder if I could have used it in purchasing several in my cart.

What if you get all the way to checkout expecting the discount and the coupon doesn't take?? Can you cancel your order? Is there a way to check before you get that far?

YES - up to $100

I missed that detail too...but still saved $8

darwinbulldog 03-09-2018 11:25 AM

Perhaps we can post some things we'd be willing to buy or sell via eBay today (at mutually beneficial prices) over on the eBay listings BST page.

I don't know. Worst case I was buying what I usually do anyway. I am sure there has to be a way to check...

autograf 03-09-2018 11:38 AM

It will show whether it's working or not. I won a $390 Topps Heritage master set from this year and it worked for me to pay for that. It was something I'd already won yesterday. When I put the code in, it took off $78, total $312. I tried to use it again on something else and it didn't work. So, it's a one trick pony. I think if you have multiple cart items and use it, it should work. When you put the code in, it'll show the discounted price. If it doesn't, then don't check out. I think it'll work on most everything. I bet not on gift cards or stuff like that though.

Already dropped a few lines, but a mega-post like this would certainly be beneficial and much easier for sellers and buyers alike to navigate/communicate. I'm in.

darwinbulldog 03-09-2018 11:48 AM

Well here's what I have; if there are any takers I'll put them on eBay.

I did not either but just used it to pay for a 1968 Topps Willie Mays PSA 8 auction I won earlier today.

You sound like my wife when she comes home from the mall.

Wife: “I saved $300!!!!”
Me: “So you only spent $1200?”

I picked up a couple cards I thought were priced 10% high for 10% less than I was willing to pay. I’m pleased. If I had yesterday’s purchases sitting in my cart I’d have been even happier. But so be it. As far as I can see everybody wins.

njdunkin1 03-09-2018 06:36 PM

Would absolutely be thrilled to pick up a Magee portrait but can't find any that are remotely reasonable even with the coupon.

HMU if you have one before night ends!

Listed my Matty dark cap PSA 3 pretty sweet card, great centeting, light crease but good registration. Got it sold

egbeachley 03-09-2018 07:34 PM

What am I missing? If I now list an item as BIN for $500 and my wife buys it, we pay 9% eBay fees but keep 11%, or $55.

Other than risking your ebay account, nothing. You found a loophole and just have to hope they don't close it on you.

FRANTIC THROAT SLASHING MOTION as in SHHHHHHH don't say that too loud eBay will close you out for that one

scooter729 03-09-2018 08:14 PM

I have been tied up all day and haven't been able to search around much - last hour of the sale and nothing jumping out at me yet...

Any suggestions on good deals out there right now? Love to get a good deal on a T / E card - if you've noticed any interesting items that might not be right up your alley, post them here and maybe someone else can take advantage of the coupon!

Yeah but, the shipping charges, man.

Santo10Fan 03-09-2018 08:44 PM

I was able to make an offer on a card that didn't have best offer option, managed to get it accepted via messenger. Code still worked in checkout, boom $100 more knocked off. In the end saved 14% off retail from a seller who, to the best of my knowledge, always has really good vintage cards but no b.o. listings ever.

jimjim 03-09-2018 08:59 PM

I really tried to give eBay some of my money and use the coupon but I couldn’t find anything to add to my collection. Bummer

No it's not amazing, but it is pretty nice to save $100 on a $500+ purchase. Pretty generous I would say, but I guess you can't please everybody. What kind of deal would you liked to have seen?
