"Awesome Dawson"
So....while on my trip to Toronto with Upper Deck for the Fall Expo, I was pleasantly surprised to see HOFer Andre Dawson standing in front of me watching me work. After a little discussion, he came back over to let me know that he was all in on me doing a piece for him. Below are a couple of pics - the first pic was taken by UD when he first approached my table, and the second is the completed piece of Mr. Dawson that was shipped to him yesterday.

That is really cool Tim! Have you ever done anything for any other ball players?

Great stuff Tim! They look great.

The Dawson is probably my favorite of your works I've seen. Great color palette.

Great piece. That type of art always boggled my mind with the perception one has to have to be able to pull that off, and still be completely recognizable.

Neat experience you had with Andre! Andre was the first major leaguer I ever asked for an autograph thru the mail. I sent a short letter, a check for his charity and put some extra cards inside for him. I received my signed card back in 5 days along with a hand written letter from Andre, thanking me for the donation and offering to sign anything else I wanted to send him for free. That was years ago, but it is a hobby experience that I'll never forget. The Dawson & Torre pieces are great! Always enjoy looking at your work. Jantz |
Thank you all! Jantz - that has been my experience working with him as well. Very nice; extremely polite. I know this will be something I will never forget as well!

Dawson was a really nice guy when he was still coaching with the Marlins. He signed for everyone at spring training when I was there.
