Tampered Holder?

Edited to add "This is an SGC holder - card image removed as it can be found on ebay"

I posted this over at PSA but I am not getting the instant gratification I desire:) I was reading the post on cracking holders and thought this has some parallels.

I got this card yesterday and first thing I noticed was it seemed a bit small which prompted me to look closer. On the top and bottom, near the corners, there is some discoloration between the top and bottom panels. I don't see any obvious signs of tampering but I compared to some other SGC holders and none of them showed this kind of anomaly. I've cracked a few holders and would expect a whole side to be cloudy but after thinking about it it seems I have had some that pulled apart pretty easily once the seal was broke. I am probably just being paranoid but...

Thanks in advance for the help.

You're not paranoid...who's that!?

That top/right corner looks like a crack to me and Ive had a few slabs "pop" right open as I am busting them open. I always try to get the card out with doing as little damage to the slab to educate myself on the integrity of the case. I had a CJ SGC case come open by pring on 1 corner a couple weeks ago...the whole thing fell apart in my hands. PSA cases seem to do this far less but I've come close to getting a card out w/o frosting/crack/etc.. Tough to tell from scan though. Others know more than I........

imho the card will always tell more of the story then the holder ever will...

Can we see the card...?

Grade it's suppose to be?

If that's a PSA holder, where's the PSA logo that should be engraved in the lower-right corner of both the front and back halves of the holder?

Also, there should be two small, clear "squares" on each side edge, and on the bottom, and one small, clear "sqare" on the top.

If those things aren't there, and it's a PSA holder, IMHO, it's a fake.

Additionally, the outer edge, to me anyway, looks more like and SGC holder than a PSA holder. SGC however, doesn't have that "cloudy" border; that's a PSA trait.

Overall, I'm confused by what the holder's supposed to be.

My guess is it's been tampered with, because the card is missing.

I apologize, I should have clarified it is an SGC holder. I removed the image of the card as it would be fairly easy to trace on ebay and I didn't want to implicate anybody if the consensus was it was tampered with.

I don't have an opinion the slab in the OP (not enough detail) but wanted to show this card- I submited this myself, and still have it. All three of the cards I submited came back from SGC with these cracks. SGC, back then, said to send them with my next sub and they would re-slab. I just haven't sent any new cards in yet, but when I do I will send these back in. My long winded story was just to say that those cracks may not mean the card was tampered with. Hope this Criger shows what I mean (my scans aren't very good)-

holder looks ok

Having actually used the sgc slabbing machine i can tell you i have seen corners look like that right off the machine. im not a big fan on the holders as they sometimes looked cracked when sealed and sometimes pop totally clean.
