Seller verification
 

Hello Matt & Leon.

At the auction website it states that all sellers must be verified before they can list items, and the only way to get verified is via a 50 cent payment from my PayPal account. Am I right in assuming that only the "beta test sellers" can become verified at this time? The reason I ask is because I tried to verify and PayPal won't let me send the 50 cents. But I have no trouble paying other vendors through PayPal at this time (just bought a video for my son at another website).

Here is the error message I am receiving:

RETURN TO MERCHANT

We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal email address supplied by the seller. Please contact the seller to resolve the problem.

I think we might have the registration turned off but I could be wrong. I will let Matt answer this. Thanks for the question.

Leon is correct - at the moment, as we are between "alpha" and "beta" we're not open for new listings. We hope to be open for beta by the end of the month.

We are really making sure it's "soup" before we release it. Right now the broth is thickening. When it does release it will have all of the things that most users expect. We are almost there. Matt and I are both biting at the chomp but also know that good things take some time. It is a very, very complex site. We are in the process of looking at dedictated servers right now, for hosting. We truly think people will like what they see when we open. I have used my contacts from this site to alert some really large ebay sellers as well as other sites about advertising. I would guess you will see the Grand Slam Bids advertising in many places on the net. regards
