T205 Joss Crossover Thoughts

1 Attachment(s)
Picked this beautiful Joss up at a bargain (roughly half what the SGC 40 sold for in Clean Sweep Auctions last night). Doing a PSA shipment in the coming days so curious about people's thoughts on a crossover.

I'm thinking 5oc because the only defect is the obvious centering. No creases or wrinkles...

Do you think it's more desirable as a 5oc or a SGC 40? Worth trying to crossover or leave it as is.

Thanks.

Would get MC qualifier, not OC...and probably a 4MC, the wear on left edge and corners might keep it under a 5.

Visually, I'd like to see it in a PSA holder, as the red would pop nicely.

Does it measure properly left-to-right? If it's not the right dimension, don't try to crack or crossover. Otherwise, yeah, probably a 4(MC). Gold borders show a bunch more corner wear than you'd see in a standard white bordered set.

My first thought was a 4(MC) as well. I don't think PSA will give it a 5(MC) with that top left or bottom right corner.

If this were my card I would leave it as is. I don't think the odds are good of increasing the cards value with a cross over attempt, and you'll be out the grading fees. I'd take an sgc 3 over a psa 4 MC

Totally agree with Jesse.

And even if it did get a 5(MC), which is the best case scenario for you, the people who buy the holder will pay more for an SGC 40 than for a PSA 5(MC).

It could even be worse; it PSA classifies the edge wear as paper loss in the image, it could get a 2(MC) instead...

That Joss is always on the market from one hand to the next. I am pretty sure in 2011 that card was in a PSA holder already with same grade and was crossed over to SGC. Good Luck on crossing over. I would just leave it in the SGC holder at this point

There is also a Pied 25 running around similar to this one.

I'm surprised that this card got a number grade. It looks like the bottom is wider than the top, though maybe that's a trick of perspective?

I would leave it as-is. The image itself is beautiful, with bright colors and nice registration.

I agree that it's likely a 4mc. No reason to mess with it.

Leave it alone and enjoy it!! I start enjoy miscut cards more than ever now.

Im surprised the card got a number grade too. The top right corner looks like a "bat wing" which usually equates to "no grade".

id leave it in sgc holder
imo t205 show better in sgc holders
