WTB: 1971 Rawlings Roberto Clemente/Brooks Robinson RWB Glove (nice condition only)

Wanted: 1971 Rawlings Roberto Clemente/Brooks Robinson "WSS-World Series Special) R/W/B Glove (nice condition only).

I happened upon an amazing conditioned original box for the glove and would love to find a nice glove to go with the box. I had only ever heard of the beat up box that sold in Hunt's a while back and have loved the triangular shape and graphics and jumped at the chance to add a much nicer example.

I would really like a nice BLUE/Red/White glove, not the greenish tint that you sometimes find.

Id love to see the box. Here is another example of the box. Yours box seems to raise the known total to three. Howard Chasser member HVC123 may have an extra glove for you. Type Clemente in the search box.

Cool item. Does anyone know if these type gloves were made for world series before or after the 71 series or was this just a one year thing? Thanks.

I finally got around to taking some pictures, if anything it is a bit nicer than I remembered it being. No glove, tag or anything else inside.

Wow...that is the nicest box I have seen for this glove. I personally don't believe the hang tags were included with boxed gloves. The two mint in box version I have seen included a Rawlings plastic bag but no hang tag. I think the tags may have been attached to gloves that were not boxed. Just my speculation based on the limited evidence of the two known in box specimens. Nonetheless I love that box it's crazy how it stayed in such great condition. Perhaps that was made possible by not containing the weight of the glove? There is a Willie Stargell model of the same glove. Obviously that isn't a WSS version but the model is the same. I wonder if a similar box featuring Stargell exists for it?
