How Much Does Your Monster Weigh?

If you haven't shipped one, you probably don't know.

Use the technique shown above to weigh your monster on an ordinary bathroom scale.;)

Then take the hole shot.

Damn, that's a dark hole.

However if you happen to have a surgeon's headlamp handy and a zoom lens,

Bingo

87 pounds or about 40 kilos for you metrics.

The question then that I'm sure can be answered is:

If someone buys your monster, apart from putting it in a cage, what is the best way to ship it?

Sadly, my monster doesn't weigh nearly that much yet. But I plan on feeding it soon.

How much does a t206 weigh? Multiply that by 522 and you have the answer.

Hey rasts60, That's hilarious!

I always wondered about that 'poop in the box' commercial.
Do they weigh your poop?
Is it hazardous?
What happens if the contents burst open?
I only can imagine what your p.o. carrier thinks about this. Why does this box smell like crap.

Back to cards...sounds like your getting ready for a consignment??

Well Frank, that is easier than my method. I stand on the scale and juggle my 10 vaults. Since I am actually holding only two at any given time, I simply step on the scale empty-handed, compare that weight to my juggling figure. I take the difference and multiply it by five. There you go.

Of course, the total changes, depending on whether I am holding two vaults of PSA, two vaults of SGC or one of each.:D

PSA graded to the left. SGC graded to the right. Raw on top......that's what she said.

Thanks to my father for making these boxes.

I repeat and rephrase

When you ship 500+ graded cards, weighing up to 100 pounds, how do you send them, which carrier?, insurance?, how much does it cost?

Someone hear must have done this. Our auction house friends must know. SGC and PSA must know. Someone who has sold a complete set must know.

I'm just curious and no, I'm not sending mine anywhere.

Thanks

Hey Frank

First of all, why would anyone ship 500+ T206's (encased in rectangular plastics) ....cost for weight and insurance is ridiculous ?

My 522-card T206 set (includes Plank & Magie) weighs only 6 lbs. 510 cards are in an album within high quality mylar....plus 12
graded cards.

This classic set of cards deserves to be driven in my classic car to it's destination.

Look forward to seeing you at the National, good buddy.

It's official. We've reached the bottom of the barrel for T206 topics.

I shipped my 515 card set to Al (LOTG) last fall using his FedEx number. The basic shipping cost would not have cost that much - maybe $80, but it was good to be covered by Al's insurance. Insurance is always the wild card when sending this stuff.

I can see the bottom and we aren't there yet!! And it's no ones business how much my monster ways....
