Man, that 1957 Bankers Trust Schedule is awesome. I also love the art on the 1955 schedule also. Thanks for sharing.

I don't collect schedules but did once pick up a large collection of Philadelphia Phillies pocket schedules. They date from 1970-2007 or so. Still have them. No idea what to do with them. Hundreds and hundreds of them.

Youre Welcome

Tom--If you still have the Phillies pocket schedules, I'd happily add them to my small Phillies collection. Please let me know.

Cheers,
Mike

This thread inspired this birth year signed pocket schedule pickup.

Awesome Dodgers schedule.

Mike!

Many thanks to Tom Carfagno for the large cache of Phillies pocket schedules. There is a lot of 70s & 80s material that will keep me busy cataloguing for some time.

If anyone has Phillies schedules from pre-70s I am interested:

mpeich12@gmail.com.

Thanks again, Tom,
Mike

I just came across this post. I was surprised to see there is interest in pocket schedules and the vintage schedules with the players on the front look great. I started collecting schedules to add as a little extra item to include when I would trade with someone. I would work a trade, and always try to add something baseball related to the trade and put it with the cards as a surprise to the collector. I write to major and minor league teams and ask for schedules and fan packs. It is nice what some teams would send out, schedules, player cards, key chains, bracelets, pitching mound dirt, team decals, etc. and some teams do not respond. Teams are also making magnetic schedules and some are great to collect. When my kids were younger and involved in Scouts, I had the boys in the troop write to get them interested in baseball cards etc. As my sons got older, I kept writing and giving out the team items to collectors and neighborhood kids. Then I thought, why not ask collectors that I am trading with if they would have any baseball schedules from their area to add to the trade. My collection grew from there. I have baseball schedules from the early 80's to current. The oldest schedules that I have are from the 1965 Yankees and Phillies. Both have players on the front of the schedules; 1965 Phillies – B. Saam, R. Ashburn, B. Campbell sportscasters’ photos, and 1965 Yankees – P. Rizzuto, R. Barber, J. Coleman, J. Garagiola sportscasters’ photos.
With the internet, I am afraid teams will stop producing pocket schedules, since so many fans can look up the schedule on their phone or computer.
If anyone would like to trade baseball major and minor league schedules, send me an email or private message, and maybe we can help each other with our collections. thanks

Here's a fun one😉

yankeesjetsfan 03-12-2018 07:34 AM

Just picked up this 1981 Yankees schedule over the weekend. Also grabbed a 2018 from the Yankees Clubhouse Store.

I'm down to needing about 13 more scheds to complete my run from 1970 to present day.

2 Ballentine Beer schedules.

I once had a 1927 Senators schedule that had a silk handkerchief triangle at the top, with the cardboard schedule below meant to be slipped into a breast suit pocket. A literal pocket schedule!

Love that Yankees schedule!

I never knew Ballentine also sponsored the Phillies. Very nice Phils schedule.

Just want to revive this thread and give any Cubs, Schedule, or collectors of the unique a crack at this, if interested.

It's over at Huggins & Scott, ending this week.

One sold there for over $2,000 (1700 + BP) earlier this year:

A few fellow members here have said I post some of the coolest items (thank you), but they don't see them until it's too late, here's your shot........

The prices for late 50s/early 60s SF Giants pocket skeds (especially those offered by a certain ebay seller) are through the roof! I keep losing out by a factor of 5x. Glad I got a bunch in years past.

I used to go to a schedule swap meet years ago in Salem, Va., I think, with a friend who is not longer around. I collect Cubs skeds and really picked up a lot. Then I was a member of a Sked Collector Club and traded a lot of skeds there. Unfortunately, I had to quit traveling so quit the club. Anyway, I have two skeds left and, if anyone wants them, send me your addy.
The 1993 MD Baseball sked has the schedules of the Frederick Keys and the Baysox teams inside.
