your opinion, real or fake Ruth card

Had it a long time. I know the autographing is not authentic but is the card real ?

Space between Ruth's cap and border
misaligned at bottom right border
red color obvious on back

If it's real, great, if not I still like it.
Thanks.

The card itself is fake.

One telltale sign that the card is fake: the surfaces are beat to hell, but the corners are fairly sharp. This does not compute. The wear also looks artificial. You see enough beat up cards and you will get an idea of normal wear and tear (sometimes literally).

Now the signature.... that would be up to the experts at JSA. :)

Here's a link to the real card. It was auctioned by REA in 2013.

The card in the OP is undoubtedly a copy of the one from REA.

Fake auto on a fake card.....there has to be a name/phrase for that.

That is a really bad looking fake of my favorite card in the hobby. Compare... and this thread is being moved to the correct section too..

That literally made me laugh out loud. :)

Here's the real card the OP copy was made from (from REA)
