Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
Gee, I have been collecting T206's since 1981; and, these two horizontal O/C cards (Sheckard & Chance) are
the 1st ones I have seen. I wish we could find more of these "horizontals". Enough to piece together a sheet.

TED Z

Posted By: Brian Weisner
Yes, from an Ebay seller a few years ago. 15 of the 50 cards I bought had HUGE borders, and 4 were miscut badly side to side. Be well Brian

Posted By: John
After looking over my T206’s the only two cards that have the same consistent shading from top of right shoulder to bottom of image border are Cobb & Schmidt that I see. In fact Cobb’s red port has almost the identical shading. Boss Schmidt comes close but he is darker at the top vs. the image on the Chance card and the shoulders dont quite line up.

Also thought of Dorner, McGlynn and Pickering but the shading doesn't match.

Ted what do you think would either of the above cards fit???

Posted By: Scot Reader

John,

Chance (Yellow) and Cobb (Red) are two of the six 350/460 superprinted subjects so I am not at all surprised to see them adjacent on a sheet.

Next to them on one side or the other are no doubt Chase (Blue), Chase (Dark Cap), Evers (Yellow) and Matty (Dark Cap).

Scot

Posted By: Pennsylvania Ted
JOHN W

Neither cards fit....the jackets don't precisely line up; and, their colors don't either.

The hint of jacket color is not a smooth gray as are the jackets of Cobb or Schmidt.

I'll get my set out tomorrow and try to match the Chance card with.....?

I've had enough of this "Forum" today.....I need a break from it.

TED Z

Posted By: Pennsylvania Ted
Magnifying the actual image of this Chance (from the T206museum website), and comparing with the cards in my set,
my guess is Jones. Jones' uniform color matches and the upper point of his right shoulder (when projected across the
Chance pix) lines up with Chance's topmost button on his jersey.

That's my guess.....but, I do not rule out Cobb (if images were arranged alphabetically he would follow in this Series).

TED Z
