Happy birthday Babe! One of my all-time favorites, Pathe Freres, along with an RKO premium where the owner describes walking to Ruth's funeral on the back, and a Dupont premium.

It's a favorite of mine too. I have looked in vain for other stills from this movie which was actually a short feature (done in 1932 not 1928), and which can be seen in its eight minute entirety on YouTube. There are some scenes at LA Wrigley which include a few Angels players, Fred Haney for one, some cute enthusiastic starlets, a great split-screen of Ruth swinging a bat and a golf club, and a street full of Model As and the like at the end. A delight to watch.

Unfortunately Ruth wasn't around in the T206 era so I haven't gotten around to picking one up. If he was in the DeLong set, I might of had one by now. T206's keep me pretty busy and I'm not quite ready to jump into Goudey sets yet. All I have to contribute is a trio of serial numbered 2017 Topps Archives.

This was my only playing days Babe Ruth. If not for a spec of paper loss in the right border is would have graded NrMint. It is now part of a display at our local museum.:)

I’ve been watching these on eBay closely for several months. IMHO they are poised for price appreciation. Besides those fugly strip cards, what other issue offers you the greatest player ever in his prime for less than $1k? And that German print on the reverse is too cool.

These pictures are actually from 3 years ago, so I don't have a LOT of these cards anymore. Then again, I've added some too, so the quantity is roughly about the same. Haven't had time to do another one of these mass shots.
