Need help with 1952 Lali Figuritas checklist (Pic added)

If you haven’t heard of this issue, don’t worry, you’re probably in the vast majority. It’s an Argentinian issue with a lot of soccer and boxing cards in it. There’s also some basketball, which is why I’m here. I recently picked up a Goose Tatum (Globetrotters) and sent it to PSA along with some background on the issue, but it apparently wasn’t enough because they didn’t grade it. So I think I need to send them a catalog entry or at least a checklist when I sub the card again, but I can’t seem to find one online. Here’s what they look like:

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bump.

Still trying to track down a checklist or some other means of verification to provide to PSA so they'll grade my Goose Tatum:

Left on the front page in hopes of help. Good luck in the quest. Globetrotters are cool!!

Thanks for the bump, Leon. To the best of my knowledge, this is Tatum's only playing-days "card", so it's a pretty cool item.

I have about a half dozen of the Globetrotter cards.

I would point PSA here:

http://www.figuritasdefutbol.com.ar/...tas-lali-1952/

There is an image of the album and a pack, as well as a scan of a couple of the inside pages. Should be enough info there for PSA.

Finding singles is nearly impossible.

There are two books (from Argentina) that mention these cards

One is called:

Estampa De Campeon La Historia de Boca en Figuritas (by Diego Musci and Rafael Bitran) 2018

and

Dificiles Eran Las De Antes (by Rafael Bitron and Francisco Chiappini) 2013

I have some cards that are graded by SGC of some soccer players.

Let me know if you need anything else on this.

Al

Just noticed the recent posts. Thanks, guys! Al, can you post a pic of any of your SGC-graded examples?

Angel Labruna and Felix Loustau, two Argentine Football greats who played for River Plate.

Also there is an issue that uses the same photos that was published the prior year called Tuno. I do not have those graded as yet, but here are some examples.

They are all blank banked.

PSA vs SGC

PSA and Beckett don't seem to have experienced graders who know anything other than the standard stuff.

Only SGC seems to take the time to learn what someone is showing. SGC does a better job of evaluating what is being submitted.

Amen to this my friend. I sent the Tatum to PSA twice, both times with documentation about the card, and it came back unholdered both times. I’ve found their researcher(s) to be incredibly lazy/uninformed as this sort of thing has happened to me many times. They’ve even sent back issues that they’ve graded before! SMH...
