Ebay Selling

Is there a limit on how many auctions you sell, or the dollar amount sold on Ebay or paypal before they send you 1099s?

thanks,

I believe its $20,000, anything over, must be reported.

The other test is the number of transactions completed. You must also have 200 separate transactions.

20k in transactions and over 200 transactions. you must satisfy both requirements. if not your in the clear.

Just to be clear, those are the thresholds at which Paypal automatically sends a report to the IRS. Coming in below that threshold doesn't automatically relieve you from whatever tax obligations you might have as a result of your selling activities.
