Dear Friends, Please know I have now posted over 770 photos of the 2009 National Sports Collectors Convention on my website, see link above. Please know I plan to post my written account of the convention by the end of this month. I will also be posting photos of the Net54 Vintage Baseball Memorabilia Forum dinner.

great stuff Carlton. Quite a few of the links from the small photos to large photos don't seem to work. Don't know what it is that's a problem. Mostly after the football helmets the Burkes had that are pictured on page 2.

photos not enlarging

Thanks Carlton. I will look forward to some of the Net54baseball.com dinner too. As Tom said, some of the pics don't enlarge. There is one Carl Horner composite on the 4th page that I would especially like to see as a bigger photo.....thanks again!!

Incredible! I walked the show for 6 hours on Sunday and don't recall a good chunk of this stuff. It's probably due to a combination of some stuff being sold and some dealers packing up early. At any rate, it's great to see it now.

Carlton- it's a wonderful gallery but like others mentioned, roughly half the links are generating error messages. And I too was disappointed when I clicked on the Horner image.

error message

Thanks for the heads up on the error messages...my team of technicians (me) are on it...hopefully will get it fixed soon

barrysloate 08-07-2009 01:12 PM

Carlton- is that a picture of you near the beginning holding a trophy?

the-illini 08-07-2009 01:55 PM

The seller of that Horner composite (it was an auction house, but I forget which one) said that it was a second generation piece likely made in the 1920's. Still a beautiful item...

Help with seller ID?

Sorry for my ignorance, but can anyone please help me identify the seller in the photos near the bottom of page 3 (or know if they have a website)?

It's the booth with all the vintage pennants, trophies, framed posters/prints, etc.

In of some of the photos I see a red wall hanging in the back of the booth that appears to have their name, but I can't make it out.

Thanks!
Brad

Boy that was a National trip....I was gone ten days, and it seemed like one it went by so fast. Well next comes the written. I'll be including photos of the Net54 dinner, plus at the end of the story I'll be a featuring someone's collection (name under wraps)...and it'll be an eye popper! -Carlton
