Well, this one isn't in a slab but it's one of my favorite cards. Certainly the prettiest of the handful of Obaks I own. Love the background.

Cool cards everyone!

The 75 1909 Obak cards all have unique artwork, whereas players that are featured in both the 1910 and 1911 sets will have the same artwork if the team designations on the 1911 card remained the same. When a player featured in the 1910 set has had his team designation changed for the 1911 set, new artwork was created for the 1911 issue.

Below are the only 6 players (if I remember correctly) that are featured in the 3 sets that have 3 different artwork designs. The 1909 cards are on the left, center is 1910, and on the right are 1911 cards.

I am also an Obak fan. Love the colors, poses, and backgrounds.

Only half way there, sitting at 50; plus another 7 that I have given to family members.

Damnit, now I have to get a Weed card to go with my weed card.

And thanks to relaxed regulations, you do have your choice of Seattle Weed or Spokane Weed.

Adam, which year is your Ostdiek? I think I have a good idea which card is its next door neighbor (Hickey or Holm if 1910, Holm if 1911).

What are those Ed? Those are fantastic cards.

I got nothing but speculation. I would guess they took photos and made mock ups of proposed cards. The came from Ossie Vitt’s estate.

Ed - Are those two images the same size or is the Lewis larger?

Where are the F Scotts?

I like to refer to this as my F Brians.

That San Francisco Miller is one of the tougher 1910 and 1911 Obak cards to track down, which is basically the direct result of one collector (his ID on here starts with 'Wha' if I remember correctly) having collected a tremendous hoard of them. I remember some folks being pretty upset that this card was keeping them from completing their sets. So if it is your only Obak, I would assume there might be some interest still from folks (ideally other than 'Wha...') to perhaps trade and provide you with a suitable Obak replacement.
