I don't have a 52 Topps Mantle PSA4 with great centering that looks more like a 5, but Adrian does!

the 'stache 08-27-2013 01:32 AM

I must have taken an extra Vicodin or three, because three pages in, I still don't know what the heck the original poster is wanting.

That's the point. It's a thread about nothing. Tough day yesterday so it was funny to see who all would post about nothing or play along and be silly with me. This thread could turn into whatever it wants.

H (grinnies not working)

Prof_Plum 08-27-2013 06:43 AM

Picked up this real nice '51 Bowman but since it's not pre-war, I won't post it.

... as always, should any member of this board be caught or killed (or found discussing things outside the realm of pre-war cards), the moderators will disavow all knowledge of your actions. This post will self-destruct in 5 seconds. Good Luck, Jim.......................................

Frank,

I hate to break this to you. Card #125, Jose Canseco, shows evidence of chemical alteration.

Oh, wait.

On second thought, I believe the player is chemically altered...not the card.

My mistake. Carry on.

:D

Best Regards,

Eric

My 1971 Dock Ellis has the same problem if not the same chemicals:D

Texxxx 08-27-2013 05:37 PM

You know the old players where chemically altered also. BEER!

frankbmd 08-27-2013 05:38 PM

Strange, but true........

If I used my middle name, I would be "Doc" Ellis with no "k".....okay:eek:

From the estate of William Lucas, manager of the 1888 Davenport Onion Weeders, would this count as his Old Judge card and then make him the only rep from that team in the set? I think the second one should therefore count as Lucas and Dog, the companion of the Whitney/Dog card

DHogan 08-27-2013 07:28 PM

“Contrariwise,' continued Tweedledee, 'if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic.”
