May Pick Up Thread

Didn't see one started here yet this month so what the heck.. I'd been wanting an upgrade to my 1991 UD Chipper RC PSA 9 for a while (roughly a $7 card on VCP) so decided to pull the trigger on this beauty! It's the least I can do to honor one of the greatest 3rd baseman and Astro-killers of all-time within my collection!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b2f4b701df.jpg

Probably proof of P.T. Barnum's wisdom buying a Jeter at current prices, but I felt the need for one of these.

Congrats Peter! That's a beauty! I'm happy with my 1993 SP Jeter PSA 8, got it for $295 last summer. It's now over $700 per VCP. You think they'll continue to climb?

I don't understand the huge upsurge in the Jeter market in general so who knows. I wouldn't think so on an 8 for a modern card, but just my .02. I bought a BGS 9 a while back -- when BGS did not lag PSA by so much -- and wish now I had bought the equivalent value in PSA.

You don’t know Diddley! This card was once easily over $100 in any shape at some point during the late 1980’s. My mother bought me one in maybe EX condition for going rates back then; this one set me back about half that amount last week on eBay. Bo did not make the baseball HOF, but this card easily provides a HOF memory of a simpler time for me...[emoji4]

Picked up this 2 sided sign from the 1992 McDonalds Topps cards. Each side has an eight card uncut sheet. My son was 6 at the time and remember him opening packs.

Thanks Peter. I had to grab it. This makes my 10th SP, the rest are 8.5’s.
