I've consistently over-paid for many of my cards (using VCP average as a reference), however I bought a Jeter SP RC at PSA 8 last summer for $295. The VCP avg is now $824 for PSA 8! Finally a purchase I'm not secretly embarrassed by in the slightest! LOL. speaking of 93 SP jeters, and maybe I missed this from another thread -- but can someone explain what's going on with the price spike in the PSA 8 & 8.5s since February?

Is this summer 2016 all over again? I'm suspicious if this is real demand or market manipulators getting ready to dump supply?

I am suspicious too, it's so far so fast, cards seem to have doubled in two months? And not just the SPs but most of his rookie cards. I suppose there could just be a huge influx of demand for whatever reason.

I'm just glad I bought TEN 8.5's when I did. Probably holding until next summer, although I should peel a few off now.

I would sell a few at guaranteed strong gains, why not.
