Whos grading these?
Scanning my ebay searches and found these just shaking my head at the grades, at least both sellers point out the obvious issues each card has-

Human error unfortunately.

Re: Whos grading these?
I thought that three graders had to view each lot. How could these have been passed by all three?

Answer: someone who clearly doesn't love his significant other AND who doesn't mind getting raped at San Quentin.

What are you guys doing, buying the card instead of the flip? What a blasphemous idea.:D

He has however not filled my PM box with family values lectures. He also hasn’t tried to dig for revenge dirt or sent PM’s implying that I might be an African American corrupt Politian from Philadelphia that has a similar name. He has also yet to lecture me on his superior education and degrees like others I know of over a simple disagreement. So I would say Jeff is ok wouldn’t you agree? |

your classless mr Litchman, as many of your posts will attest to.... you give lawyers a REAL BAD TIME smart guy.... let me guess...you chase ambulances..... over litigation may be the MAIN cause of most problems in the US... shut down some of these fly by night law schools, make less lawyers, and this world will be a better place.... |
Back on topic, I wonder if PSA is hiring anytime soon. Guarantee I could grade better than what I see in the two auctions in this thread. Plus I wouldn't mind a move to California. Orlando's number still floating around on the board?

From a PM I just received!

"over litigation may be the MAIN cause of most problems in the US..."
Yeah, if only clients would stop hiring those damn lawyers, most problems would go away!! |
Scott, unless you own Fandango, I don't think you're going to match W2s with one of our most famous board members.

Yeah I've had some classic PMs from mister Fandango as well.....good times welcome to the club Jeff. :)

Why do people constantly complain about what people post? Enough already!
Does anybody force you to read it? Blah blah blahzy blah Everybody hates lawyers until they need one. |

Then you could compile civil actions into a class action. |

Not sure why this happens. If their call is usually right, mistakes expected, though not way off. It would appear to be a hazard of use of grading companies. But of course a hazard/risk of anything we deal with. Most of my grades from SGC or PSA have seemed right on the mark. In my field, it would be a person's risk/hazard of dealing with the medical industry. In the grading card case, you can try and get it corrected(asking for review/regrade), in medicine, sometimes cant fix it. |
I can understand mistakes, making them myself.
However I can't believe that the world's leading TPG company would have a single grader on even a bad day that could think that a VG-EX card could have a corner that looks like a mouse chewed it off or a big blob of paperloss that affects the image. |

Looks like I can become a lawyer for less than seven dollars. I hope no one shills me at the end... |

I'm convinced that TPGs are a benefit to the hobby, if only to facilitate non-personal transactions, but this shows they can be their own worst enemy. I don't know squat about business (MBA dropout) but grading companies should have at least two people looking at all cards in my view -- an initial grader and his supervisor who should review for egregious errors. There is no way these cards should have left the building. And, I'll put in a word for lawyers, especially those in federal service. In 30 years I found the vast majority to be bright, hard-working folks trying to do the right thing. Mark |
Lawyers, I don't particularly care for them, but they have saved my A$$ a couple of times.:D
|
Its bad enough to see one of those but two in 5 minutes of my searches, ouch. I also understand mistakes happen but those two cards shown fall under serious issues with quality control. They fall well beyond the grader missed something.....give me a break, a corner missing.
