Posted By: <b>Nate</b><p>As the title suggests, do you think this 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #144 is the real deal? As I have only a few '33 Goudeys to compare it to, it's been hard for me to gage its authenticity, thus far. <br /><br />It seems real to me (in regards to matching all of the criteria that suggest and indicate a vintage card to be authentic), but, nevertheless, I am still a bit wary, and have my own doubts, due to the fact that I purchased it for such a low price (a shade over $100). <br /><br />Either way, I didn't spend too much on it, and it may, very well, end up being that rare "steal of a deal" we all dream about, but seldom ever encounter. <br /><br />I'm planning on submitting it to SGC for grading sometime in the near future, but, first, wanted to gather your opinions in order to get a better idea of its authenticity before doing so. Posted By: <b>fkw</b><p>100% Authentic. The surface damage to your card (top layer flaking off) would be tough to fake on a reprint. Plus the clear scans help alot.
