It's Almendares, another Cuban team. Probably a postcard either commemorating a defeat or hoping for one.

correct. I have seen an Almendares postcard showing how they defeated another team from the Cuban league.

This was likely from the 1948-49 season or thereabouts. Late '40s for sure.

In my opinion I think this postcard is much earlier than stated above. I believe it's in reference to 1910 Cuban-American Series. The Cuban teams went 6-4 against the World Series Champion Athletics. Almendares was managed by Al Cabrera and the Athletics managed by Harry Davis/ Danny Murphy (My great great gramps). Also, If this piece becomes available I'd be interested. Thanks again.

The artists signature has a date under it. To me it looks like 1944 or 1966. From the overall look, I'd think 44 was more likely.

The H is for Habana, the A is for Almendares. There's no connection to the Athletics. It's definitive because the Habana team were the Lions and the Almendares team were the Scorpions, both of which are pictured.

Upon further research my assessment was totally incorrect, my apologies.

Yes, I was totally incorrect on that. I think part of it was that I was so hoping it was the case since I had been searching for some type of piece from that 1910 series. I thought I had finally stumbled across something. Thanks again for correcting me.

The writing on the card talks about the A being from Almendares.
