Posted By: runscott
Wow - thanks for the warm reception, that was really pleasant!

The uniform thing is dead - when I started doing that there were only a few of us, but now the prices are through the roof. Also, no room for them. Same for vintage baseball photos - anything by anyone famous, like Conlon, is just ridiculous now.

I sort of wish I had done like Lee and John, and completed the T-206 set years ago. That was quite an accomplishment.

It's baseball season, the Mariners are doing great, and when I read the McGraw trivia in yesterday's paper, my collecting urge kicked in. Leon - I've been meaning to call you for a while. I had lunch With David right when he got back from Dallas. I'll holler at you this week.
Posted By: davidcycleback
Scott and I both live in Seattle and have lunch a few times a month. I've never seen him run, but can testify that he wears running shoes.

Southerners on this board will be happy to know that the Texan Scott has spent numerous lunches trying to re-educate this Northerner on the Civil War. Let's just leave it that Sherman's not beloved everywhere.
