It was the '64 Phils under Gene Mauch that spit the bit.<br />I thought it was a tad ironic that the announcers kept saying that this was a young Indians team and this pennant chase debacle would only help them. Hello? Young teams? How about the Twins and Tigers who are just as young or younger and in the same division. You also have the Sox who don't look to go away anytime soon. <br />Besides with Wickman and others being free agents this coming year, the Tribe might prove to be "almost weres" for only a year...
