Black Sox Related Items

Being a Black Sox/Joe Jackson collector always on the lookout for such items but often just too much competition and expense. Usually end up doing the "Kevin Bacon" avenue, items that are closely related to the B Sox but one step away. Enclosed is a 1946 Greenville Spinners complete coupon book for a season ticket holder. Joe played minor league ball there and attended many games throughout his life. Enclosed link shows booklet. Also on site other Black Sox related items if interested. Happy hunting GO SOX, Murph

I have a framed 1907 cabinet photo of the 1907 Lincoln Western League club with Cicotte on it. (Front row, left)

Dan that is one great item sir, thanx for posting. Although some of the other Black Sox get more attention, too me, Eddie Ciccotte was the key and the most interesting of the group of 8. Never get enough of this topic and always on the lookout for pieces related to the team and 3 or 4 year era.

Here are a few of my Black Sox related items. Joe Jackson Zinn Beck bat, a key from the Sinton Hotel and my Ray Schalk photo.

Ron, nice stuff and exactly the type of items that make Black Sox collecting so fun. The bat is cool and the Hotel Sinton key reminded me of a piece picked up from a fellow "54`er" about a year ago. Wish I could post photos but this enclosed link is a sharp 4-page folding testimonial dinner menu. The dinner was hosted at the Sinton in 1910 by A L President Ban Johnson, later of Black Sox fame, for N L president Thomas Lynch. Just imagine who was prowling the halls of the Sinton during that World Series ! Keep the pieces coming fellas, Murph
