PRO Grading Company

Posted By: Bernie
I bought this card back in mid December for $46. I'm wondering why I got it so cheap for a grade of NM+ 7.5. Is the PRO Grading Company a complete joke ?

Posted By: Zinn
Hey, for 46 bucks and the cost of grading I guess it's worth a shot.

Your best chance of slipping it by though is to with PSA.

(I can't believe I said that Just broke my New Years resolution )

Posted By: Anthony S.
The bright side is that it was an inexpensive $46 lesson instead of a $500 - $1000 lesson. The first thing most vintage collectors think when they see a PRO holder is "trimmed." Stick with SGC, PSA, Beckett, and GAI and your odds of getting a trimmed card in a holder go way down. And if they were trimmed and reside in a high numbered holder, they were trimmed really, really well.

Posted By: Mark T
from the small scan it looks trimmed.

I bought only 1 PRO card in my life. Of course it turned out trimmed and that nailed it for me. CSA, PRO stay away from those 2.
