Snapshot of Cubs-Phillies game at West Side Park, July 16, 1910

I saw this in the SABR Ballparks Facebook group, and thought people here would find it as interesting as I do. The author of this article, Ron Bolton, has been researching some snapshots taken at major league ballparks c.1910 by Dr. W. E. Cutler, and has been able to pinpoint quite a bit with the help of some other researchers. They determined that the photo in this article was taken in the middle of the fifth inning at West Side Park in Chicago on July 16, 1910, when the Cubs and Three Finger Brown beat the Phillies and Earl Moore 3-2 before a crowd of 11,000. Lots of players from T206 and other classic prewar sets starred in this game, including Brown, Harry Steinfeldt, and Red Dooin.

Neat photo. Reminds me of episode One of Ken Burns "Baseball."
