Olsen's Base Ball card game connection to E120/V61 cards?
Posted By: Joseph
Saw this on the Yahoo Baseball Games group, hope we can help out here:

"Olsen's Base Ball" is a generic game played with cards, variously listed with a 1912 or 1922
production date. I've seen two versions. The example I own has no instructions, but the example that surfaced recently (purchased for $1) does, as shown below (along with an upper right study of box & cards). Notice the ad for the cards. These are clearly either the 1922 E120 American Caramel or 1922 V61 Neilson's Chocolates. (note the complete set says 120--so that leans towards Neilsons).

I'm hoping someone out there knows the connection between the cards and game, if any.

Olsen's Base Ball card game connection to E120/V61 cards?
Posted By: Rhett Yeakley
I've never seen that ad before. It probably is selling cards cards from the W573 set. It doesn't really make sense that a card game manufacturer would be selling cards that were sold with a Candy manufacturer on back.
-Rhett

Posted By: Kyle
I've seen that ad in some 1920s Parker Brothers game sets, in particular, Rook.
