world champions worth anyone??

Posted By: linda
hi, seems like some knowledgable people in here about baseball. wonder if someone could tell me or direct me to a source to find out what the worth of some tickets would be. i have 2 tickets(that were unused)to a 1931 world championship game between philadelphia athletics and the st. louis cardinals. these tickets are in excellent condition. no tears, no holes, no bends. great shape. and they havent been torn apart, guess they couldnt make the game that day, lol. if anyone has any ideas please let me know. thanks alot!

Posted By: joe
Hi Linda, do you plan on keeping the tickets or selling them?. As far as an appraisel from a card shop I don't think so. You have many options.

You can leave the tickets as they are.
You can get them graded by a grading company.
You can sell on ebay
You can sell through an auction house
You can sell through the buy/sell/trade board that is located at the top of this website left side.

If you need help let me know.

I have no interest in the tickets.

Joe

Posted By: barrysloate
Hi Linda- unused World Series tickets from that era are desirable and very easy to sell. Why do you need a cardshop to write you an appraisal? Do you need it for insurance purposes? If you are looking to sell them, auction is the best route and you would likely be pleased with the results.

Posted By: Frank Wakefield
Hey Linda,

I'm interested in buying a 1931 World Series ticket stub. But not at the "whole ticket" prices these guys mentioned. Can you email me a scan of what you have, please, if you wish to sell one? Thanks. Frank.

Posted By: Bob
Hello. I just found an unused ticket from the 1919 World Series which is signed on the back "Hope no one finds out what we did, Eddie Cicotte." Does this have any value?

Posted By: Joann
Bob - the value would, of course, depend on the condition. heehee. Plus that pesky writing on the back would result in the "MK" qualifier from PSA.

Joann
