Question regarding altered graded card

I recently bought a PSA graded card on ebay and the paper above the card in the case is all bent up. This is the first PSA card I've seen where the paper with the name, year, and grade was not completely flat. This is also a PSA graded card without the hologram. Just curious if this was altered or fake. Any insight would be appreciated.

You should post a picture of it.

Post a picture. I have seen several with a wrinkled up flip that are good.

Looking straight on it was hard to take a picture and see the bend. This angle can show how it's not flat

Show a picture of the whole card/slab on a dark surface. I have a few PSA cards that are just fine with that wavy flip.

I wouldn't worry seems like it would be a lot of trouble to go through to fake a $150 dollar card. Flip looks fine it was probably just cut a bit long for some reason and compressed in the case.

Thanks for the input fellas. True I wouldnt imagine a 57 PSA 8 Al Kaline would be faked.

In the future, post a picture of the entire front and back of the slab. It's much easier to detect a broken seal (frosting) or determine if the bar code or text are faked.

I know I have some somewhere. I know mine are legit because I got them with my submission right from PSA. Not sure if I still have them or if I sold the cards though.

I have bought psa graded cards and when I received them the flips were straight. After storing them in my basement awhile where the humidity was high they began to wrinkle.

Bone-moist is never discussed, and rightfully so

That was my first thought too...collectors should always live in bone-dry areas. Bone-dry regions also rarely have basements. Bone-dry conditions unfortunately chap my hide.

They come straight from PSA wrinkled. I have had several come back that way, and I was not real impressed. You can't take the humidity out of Newport Beach.

Paper can wrinkle from humidity, no doubt.
