They appear to be pencil clips, you would slide them up your pencil and then you would have a way of clipping your pencil to your shirt. I have no idea where yours came from or when, but pencil clips were quite common to find as cracker jack prizes. They do look an awful lot like the 1969 MLB pins design, so I would say there is a good chance they were distributed somewhere around the late 1960's

I believe Larry is correct. These were discussed not too long ago and the general consensus was that these ones were fantasy pieces. There are certainly real and vintage pencil clips, but these ones of Ruth, Wagner, Cobb etc. were not vintage.

I think we have probably discussed them before on this forum. :) Hopefully no one gets fooled thinking they are period. I could see me making that mistake. :eek:
