Posted By: jay behrens
most definately. I had 3 packages arrive empty within a 2 week period. UPS's response was, "here's your insurance check, we have better things to do than check and see if our employees are stealing. That's what insurance is for."

If you UPS and the Taliban played a game of baseball, I'd be cheering for the Taliban.

Jay

Besides, since you're only mad at the UPS employees that ripped you off, we know that they must either be "vintage baseball" or "Banana Splits" fans anyway - so they'd probably be pretty good ball players or crazier fanatics than the Taliban.

Use your noggin Jay - I can't do all your thinking for you! (but I'm still available to give you betting advice)

They just wanted me to take my checks and go away.

I'd cheer for the Yankees in a baseball game against UPs and I NEVER cheer for the Yankees.

Other games I'd cheer for the Taliban:
vs Dallas Cowboys
vs Lakers
vs Yankees

which reminds me of a joke; What's the difference between the MN Vikings and the Taliban?

Tha Taliban has a running game.

Jay

Posted By: Julie Vognar
Yankees, Lakers, Dallas Cowboys, Vikings. Do we have the same disease? Actually, UPS has never lost anything on me; they did throw a $2000 photograph at my front door aT 10:30 p.m., without knocking.

The post office also lost a box of my childhood books, being sent out from Chicago for my grandchildren. The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Mary Poppins, Bambi (trans. by Whittaker Chambers in 193-). Verdict: "pilfering."

There's no point to the games until the last two minutes, which is good, because I can't stand the obnoxious prima donnas for more than 2 minutes at a time anyway.

And football. Don't even get me started on the No Fun League. 45 seconds standing around, a plunge into the line for two yards, then 45 more seconds of standing around. I love a sport that is paced around the time it takes to relieve yourself and get back to the couch. "What'd I miss?" Absolutely nothing.

Now hockey, there's a game for a real man. A really bored man with all the endless neutral zone traps. Bring back the Broad Street Bullies--at least they were interesting.

Fortunately, we still have baseball to sustain us. At least until the All Star strike, er, break.
