the e93 cobb front looked really nice for the grade. back has some issues.

1926-1929 Exhibits Babe Ruth Pose-- When I joined net54 a year ago, I was alerted of one for sale but I snoozed. I have been banging my head against the wall ever since. I have learned: Anything related to "Babe Ruth" you can't think about it too long because it will be gone.

Nice Ruth Ben! One of Ruths nicest images on a card! That Cobbs not too shabby either!

Nice E121's Neal.

A great one to scratch off my list...

What a phenomenal card, Al. According to Old Cardboard's HOF Rookie Cards: "only one copy of the card is known to exist and it remains in uncut sheet form." How many of these have been authenticated & slabbed by the TPGs?

Scocs 08-24-2017 10:14 AM

Clearly that is incorrect information. A true Martin Dihigo rookie card graded by SGC exists outside of the uncut sheet:

REALLY? I didn't think I could find one you haven't seen before! :D

vintagerookies51 08-24-2017 05:58 PM

Dan and AJ- great looking Jackie rookies! Hopefully you don't like them enough to go for the other 12 cards in the set, it's hard enough to find them as it is :D

x2drich2000 08-24-2017 06:08 PM

Geez Ed, very nice. Where did you find those?

Tape or no tape, I am happy to pick up this tough Viox Series 6 card. One other confirmed copy and for nowhere near my max bid on it. This one went for a song IMO.

Mark 08-25-2017 09:13 AM

Congratulations!

I love that card. And the guy could hit, too.

Jason, I'm glad you got it. That auction had so many cards, I decided I would focus on the E104 & E94s above. It was really hard not to go after any T210s, so glad to see you with that one.

Jason 08-25-2017 10:58 AM

Mark, Ed thank you both! The auction did have quite the selection of types available. And after a quick glance at BR I agree, Viox was a very good hitter at all levels of pro ball. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

OK.... there was only one sheet known (and I own it)... BUT there is a single copy of the the Lloyd graded by SGC (none by PSA).... one DiHigo by SGC (none by PSA) and one Foster by SGC (none by PSA)... there are two Marcelles that I know of....

I own the DiHigo, Lloyd and Foster and the sheet. Still on the look out for the Marcelle. I do not believe that the Larry Brown or George Scales have been seen as singles (outside of the sheet).

By the way, I have the sheet listed on eBay now that I have the individual cards. Best, Al

Al,

That Mallorquina sheet is unbelievable. Is Beckett the only company that professionally grades uncut sheets?

Thanks Scott....

Unsure, but I would imagine so. It is the only company that has a holder that is big enough. I typically prefer SGC, but they did not have a holder and I was nervous that I would damage it if I did not protect it, so I went with Beckett.

Perhaps if there was an uncut sheet of a small issue that would fit in a holder for PSA and / or SGC they may do it, but I am unsure. I can't think of a sheet / issue that would fulfill those parameters, but perhaps someone else does.
