Nice Jason. The card even has the redemption stamp.

Jason Carota 02-20-2018 09:43 PM

Thanks! I've wanted one with the stamp for a while. Kind of a local card, too, as Lawrence is about 20 minutes from me.

The back of that card is awesome... just read it. If only you had 49 more and could get the long jump rope! :-D

Added Bibby w/ Boston Globe thanks to a friendly collector (and strong assist from Scott B.). Thirteen down and many more to go. Please consider letting me know of any in the hobby whether available or not.

Nothing like a little help from a friendly collector! :D

Nice pickup, Joe!

One card closer to a Glazner master set. Always looking to add obscure ones if anybody has them.

x2drich2000 02-23-2018 06:51 AM

Picked this up last night. I was a bit intrigued as it seems to be missing a color pass (the sky usually has reddish colored clouds) and I don't recall ever seeing any other mello-mints missing color before.

Awesome Wagner, I was waiting to see what your February card was going to be. To be honest, I was expecting to see the Plank.

Oh Chuck, I wish it was a Plank!! I was trying and have made a few contacts which may pay off down the road, but no Plank this month. And, i just picked this up from Don (although I just cut and sent check today, so I likely wont have it my hands for 1-2 weeks), and I got eyes for some things in Heritage -- expensive time of the year! How are you doing?

Very nice 1914 CJ Wagner. Don is the man, he has some good cards at the right price. I’ve been picking up some smalls, really concentrating on the stock market. Good Luck with Heritage.

Can't believe its the only Ted I now own. Hope I can get to like the 70/30 t-b centering. Side/side just fine. Tough issue for centering..

Thx! I like to think that way back when this card travelled around in some kids pocket in a stack with the likes of loe jackson, ty cobb, dots miller sunset as well as maybe a cy young or peaches graham!!!

Great card. IMO, one of Teddy's nicest cards. I recently had to "settle" for a less than perfectly centered version, but I'm confident you'll love the colors and overlook the 70/30.

MattyC 02-24-2018 12:32 PM

So pumped about this card, forgive the 1951 in this section; I often wondered over the years if I'd ever come across one of these that was centered and focused. Just got to do a nice scan of it...

That’s an awesome looking “4”.

orly57 02-24-2018 01:37 PM

Matty, I'd take that 4 over most 7s. Just gorgeous. That should go nicely with your 52. Congrats buddy.

Touch'EmAll 02-24-2018 02:11 PM

Why the 4 ? Surely not corners or edges. Micro crease?

No wrinkles or creases. In my experience it's just a good old fashioned under-grade; have had it happen a few times over the years. Not selling it, though, so can't see springing for a review. If I cracked it raw and sent it in ten times, probably comes back a 5 half the time, maybe six times, otherwise a 4.5.

Thank you, homie! Definitely passed on many a poorly centered or blurry 7 over the years, waiting the right card out :)

New add to my Bender collection. Corners not as square as my scanner makes them but I'm happy to have it.

NICE!!
For a second, I thought you got this from SpinFadeSplash on the CU board.
His PSA 4 is just as nice for sell.

Overachiever...

Making news all over the place, saw your name in a legal article on MLB stud...

orly57 02-25-2018 03:06 PM

I was sure that card was bought by an elderly baby-boomer who would soon die and flood the market with cards. So relieved that a spry 50 year old got it.

MVSNYC 02-25-2018 03:08 PM

Jeff owned the finest Cobb collection before this...

Jeff- awesome, man. Sparks Steak on you soon?

orly57 02-25-2018 03:10 PM

I don't disagree, but this one went ahead and left no doubt.
