Help with authenticity of 1956 Topps baseball card

I just received a 1956 Roy Campanella that seems to be fake or a reprint. The dot pattern looks good with a loupe and it does not glow with a black light but it feels glossy on both sides and a little thinner card stock. Is there any way that it could still be authentic. Has anyone encountered an authentic card like this?

Thinner card stock? You may have already done this but it not... if you hold it up to a bright light source with the reverse facing you, can you see Roy's silhouette showing through (you should not be able to)?

Card stock should not be thinner than other '56s. Can you post a pic? Thanks.

Have you laid it next to another 56 card on a flat surface and run your finger down the seam? Should not be any difference in height...

Canadian, Venezuelan, or Salesman Sample? One of these is usually the reason for various Topps set variances from the 50s-60s. ;-)

Too early for Venezuela

Could the card have been soaked and clamped in a vice?

Really interested to see a picture.
