Larry Corcoran article.

Great article, Brian--thank you for posting it! Although John Dreker probably knows most of the information, I'm sure he would enjoy reading it.

Here is an 1882 Chicago cabinet featuring Larry Corcoran (seated lower right). Unfortunately, a prior owner got the year wrong and misidentified Corcoran as Sunday. Otherwise, he was spot on.

Interesting article. Am I correct in reading that his no hitters were all thrown underhanded?
|
Corcoran's great grand daughter might consider a restraining order against JD.... :p I'm sure there's a few around that will get that....:D

I talked to the great-grand daughter last night. Sent her some scans of cards, which she was happy to see. While I could have added a lot to the article, it was still very informative and good to see him get some recognition.
I'm not sure how I feel about getting him into the Hall of Fame. Sounds like it would be costly to someone trying to collect his cards... |

Is this Cabinet photo just random baseball players?--I assume its not a team?

The cabinet is the 1882 Chicago White Stockings. In 1882, the National League was experimenting with every position wearing a different uniform.
