Hillerich & Bradsby "SLAPPed" down

Posted By: warshawlaw
This morning the court granted Robert Plancich's motion to strike the complaint of Hillerich & Bradsby under the California "anti-SLAPP" law, ruling that Mr. Plancich had established that the case involved conduct in furtherance of his First Amendment rights about a matter of public interest and that Hillerich & Bradsby had not demonstrated a probability of success on the merits. H & B can appeal the Court's judgment against H & B once it is final, obviously, but for now their case against Mr. Plancich has been decided against them.

Maybe he will own H&B when it's all over!!

I guess David still beats Goliath!! H&B got what it deserved trying to step on the little guy and quiet him.

Vikes066

Posted By: vikes066
Adam,

Since the ruling was in Plancich's favor, is it possible for you to post the court papers or provide a link for those of us who are curious to be able to read them? Some other posts say that they have read the proceedings. Can you direct us to where we can read them as well?

Vikes066

Posted By: warshawlaw
The Los Angeles Superior Court's branch courts (this one was Pasadena) have not progressed to the point where filings are scanned and loaded or electronically filed. However, anyone truly interested in the moving papers and reply papers I filed can have them via email--just send me your email address and I will respond with the papers. I don't have H & B's unsuccessful opposition on electronic form, but my stuff was better anyway
